It's been a while since my last letter in August, when I just finished shadowing director Sudz Sutherland on a tv-series "Private Eyes".
Come say hi to me in Washington, DC during the DCEFF festival March 15-18, and at Toronto's screening on March 24 at 3 pm at HotDocs Cinema. Or watch an interview from the Wild & Scenic Fest in California. #filmfestivals #travel #usa #kukama #toronto
After attending Wild & Scenic Film Festival in January, I travelled to San Francisco, the city from my bucket list. Many wonderful things happened there, and one of them was meeting and filming my personal hero - a poet, a writer, a feminist, an LGBT activist and a philosopher Judy Grahn, for the "Moon Cycles" documentary. Dreams do come true! #filmfestivals #travel #usa #lifetimeofmemories #mooncycles #heroes
DOP work In November 2018 I travelled from wintery Moscow to summerish Lisbon to freezing Thunder Bay (Canada) in 36 hours, to finish the shoot we started in the summer for the Federal Government of Canada. US president was supposed to visi
After serving on a jury for visual arts, I'm awarded a two-week residency at the Brusk Creek Center for the Arts in Wyoming. I had a privilege being there back in 2013, where I created a few haunting images like this one and visited Yellowstone national park. This time I'm excited to rewrite one of my scripts and to expand nighttime photography of the Wild West's dark skies. After the residency I plan to go to Montana to continue filming my feature doc "Moon Cycles". This doc
September 2016 I spent traveling to Canada's East Coast for a self-imposed writing retreat. Stopping in Maine, New Brunswick, P.E.I. and ultimately in Nova Scotia, I extended the work on "Every Place has a Spirit" (previously known as "Encounters") photo-series and wrote a first draft of a new script. The beauty of the Hopewell rocks in New Brunswick captured my imagination. There I chose to do my first ever performance art piece which has now become a part of "Flower-power"
