After serving on a jury for visual arts, I'm awarded a two-week residency at the Brusk Creek Center for the Arts in Wyoming. I had a privilege being there back in 2013, where I created a few haunting images like this one and visited Yellowstone national park. This time I'm excited to rewrite one of my scripts and to expand nighttime photography of the Wild West's dark skies.
After the residency I plan to go to Montana to continue filming my feature doc "Moon Cycles". This doc started with Kukama people in Peru and went to the most productive observatory in the world - ESO. The film aims to capture the meaning of a female spirit through creation stories and scientific findings alike.
In Montana I plan to learn about Blackfoot people and their history. I should be back to Toronto sometime in October, 2017.
